All electrical power on-site will be produced by renewable means. We’re hoping to showcase as many different techniques as possible.

The bus is run on biodiesel and travels the country,  demonstrating green technologies, and provides help and advice for people wanting to become more environmentally-conscious. The Big Green Idea bus also incorporates a cinema on the upper deck which shows regular screenings of short environmental films.

For the piston-heads amongst us we will have:

University of Glamorgan’s tri-hybrid Hydrogen powered minibus


The bus incorporates a hydrogen fuel cell, lead acid batteries and ultracapacitors to provide the ultimate ecological transport. The bus was developed by Dr. Jonathan Williams of the university, to demonstrate how these emerging technologies can improve upon conventional technologies.
