Yes, good point. It's something that's taken a bit of a back seat over the last few months. We should get the details sorted out over Christmas (should have the 'exhibitor pack' done by then) - will let you know as soon as it's ready.

If I could have more info on the when, where, who organising, how much a pitch sort of stuff I could ask the Woodland Trust, RSPB, Wildlife Trust contacts if they were interested in attending?

I am happy to do this BUT I would need some info in advance of doing so as they WILL want to know such details!

and a Happy Yule to all!

Unfortunately had similar experiences with attempts to contact other celebrities. We have had a few successes, though.

Apols for delay - should have got back here sooner. I contacted Ragmans farm as I couldn't find Patricks direct email. I asked if they would forward the email to all their permaculture tutors. Also contacted Rob with the same 'can you help/have a look at this' email in mid oct, and sadly have heard nothing back.  Huh?

In the last week I have become involved with Energy Cafe.

This is an experimental project running until March in Gunpowder Park, Waltham Abbey.

Their aim is to set up a cafe/meeting area which is built entirely from recycled or donated materials and runs on renewables.

On Saturday we established the site and got the wood burning stove up and cooking. Yesterday, we built a "field kitchen"  from old scaffolding poles, tarpaulins, pallets for decking etc.

Today, although I was not present, they have a bicycle pedal power generator running and have been refining their woodstove skills.

After March, they will be mobile, as the Cafe packs up into a horsebox, and hopefully touring the various green festivals. I've let them know about the GreenHorizon event and they seem quite keen.

More info and updates on their blog:

If I click on 'Listen' it offers to download a pls file - what do I need to run it? Real Audio Player?

I would recommend VLC

although appearing somewhat basic - it can handle the most types of media and is uber reliable.

(dont worry if firefox throws up complaints about certificate)

I'm not sure Hugh would want to venture much further south than Edinburgh. I know Hugh quite well, so I can ask him.

If you fancy contacting the other guys, please do. I've got no connections there.
